DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

TESTING CONDITION: Always perform test at a temperature of 5°C (41°F) or more.

>> GO TO 2.

2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

3. Turn ignition switch ON.

4. Select “DATA MONITOR” mode with CONSULT-III.

5. Make sure that “FUEL T/TMP SE” is more than 0°C (32°F).

6. Start engine and wait at least 20 seconds.

7. Check 1st trip DTC.

1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

2. Set voltmeter probes to ECM harness connector and ground as follows.

3. Make sure that the voltage is less than 4.2V.

4. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

5. Start engine and wait at least 20 seconds.

6. Check 1st trip DTC.

Is 1st trip DTC detected? YES >> Go to EC-320, "Diagnosis Procedure".

NO >> INSPECTION END

Programming HomeLink® for Canadian customers and gate openers
Canadian radio-frequency laws require transmitter signals to “time-out” (or quit) after several seconds of transmission – which may not be long enough for HomeLink® to pick up the signal during training. Similar to this Canadian law, some U.S. gate operators are designed to “timeout” ...
