DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch OFF.
Then wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
1.CHECK DTC DETECTION
1. Turn ignition switch ON 2. Select “DATA MONITOR”.
3. Make sure that output voltage of CVT fluid temperature sensor is within the range below.
ATF TEMP SEN : 1.0 – 2.0 V
If out of range, drive the vehicle to decrease the voltage (warm up the fluid) or stop engine to increase the voltage (cool down the fluid)
Is “P1745 L/PRESS CONTROL” detected? YES >> Go to TM-183, "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-42, "Intermittent Incident".
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK DTC
1. Start engine.
2. Perform “SELF-DIAG RESULTS” mode for “TRANSMISSION”.
Is “P1745 L/PRESS CONTROL” displayed? YES >> Replace TCM. Refer to TM-254, "Removal and Installation".
NO >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-42, "Intermittent Incident".
P1740 lock-up select solenoid
valve
Description
• Lock-up select solenoid valve controls lock-up clutch pressure or forward
clutch pressure (reverse brake
pressure).
• When controlling lock-up clutch, the valve is turned OFF ...
P1777 step motor
Description
The step motor changes the step with turning 4 coils ON/OFF according to the
signal from TCM. As a result,
the flow of line pressure to primary pulley is changed and pulley ratio is
...
Other materials:
Driver side door mirror defogger
Description
Heats the heating wire with the power supply from the rear window defogger
relay to prevent the door mirror
from fogging up.
Component Function Check
1. CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER LH
Check that heating wire of door mirror defogger LH is heated when turning the
rear window defo ...
Fuel injector
Description
The fuel injector is a small, precise solenoid valve. When the ECM
supplies a ground to the fuel injector circuit, the coil in the fuel injector
is energized. The energized coil pulls the ball valve back and
allows fuel to flow through the fuel injector into the intake manifold.

P0550 PSP Sensor
Description
Power steering pressure (PSP) sensor is installed to the power steering
high-pressure tube and detects a
power steering load.
This sensor is a potentiometer which transforms the power steering load into
output voltage, and emits the
voltage signal to the ECM. The ECM controls t ...
